Camping trip

We went camping with my cousin Jill and her friend Wendy and our kids….well I was shy a few kids.  Tracen and Jesse had decided to go with my mom to Logandale for a few days and play with their cousins (David and Jacob) who were visiting.  Josh had to go on a overnight hike with the scouts.  So it was just me, Tyler and Lincoln.  After some searching we ended up camping in the Panguitch Lake campground.  The funny thing about camping here in a tent  is that Josh’s family has a cabin just down the road.  But we roughed it in a tent and it was fun…..mostly.

Friday morning Lincoln woke up at like 5 a.m. and wouldn’t go back to sleep.  So rather than keep everyone up we went for a drive around the lake.  The kids had fun hiking and getting dirty.  We went fishing a couple of times that day too.  The little kids got tired so they went back to camp.  Ty and Lincoln and I went down to the stream behind the dam and Ty caught two fish down there.  He was so excited!  We put them in Link’s bucket and he liked leaning over and looking at them until they’d splash them, then he’d cry into my shoulder.  Silly kid.

Josh came up after his hike and cleaned the fish for us and stayed the night.  About 1 am Link woke up screaming at the top of his lungs.  There wasn’t anything I could do to make him happy and I’m sure he woke up the entire campground.  So he and I got in the car and went to the cabin.  He continued to scream for about an hour and then passed out.  Then we got up Saturday and went back to camp.  We all packed up and headed home.

It was way fun to go camping with just the girls minus the lack of sleeping that occured in my tent!
