Tracen’s (2nd) day of joy school

DSC_0001

I was invited to join in on a joy school group with Tracen this year.  I’m really excited for him and I’m so glad that I was invited to join.   He absolutely would not allow me to take his picture on the first day. lol.  He finally let me take his picture the 2nd day.  The first day we stayed with the kids so we could all meet and see how we were going to do things.  The second day I had to kind of slip out while Tracen was playing.  The next week the boys walked him across the wash to the next house and he walked in no problem.  The third week I took him and basically had to dump him and run to get him to stay.  Who knows what’s going on in that kids head!

Ty and Jesse have some concerns as far as Tracen is concerned.  1st he decided that he needed a backpack for Joyschool.  This is what he wanted…

Tracen’s second week of Joy school he learned about his body. They cut out pictures from a magazine and glued them onto a body.  He insisted on the pink hello kitty for his shirt.  They’re worried…I’m not :)DSC_0005

In a few weeks it will be our turn to have joy school at our house.  There are 7 or 8 kids so it’s not my turn too often.  I hope he has fun this year going.  And since I put Lincoln down for a nap while he’s gone it gives me and the older boys a chance to get some school done without interruption!

And since we’re doing a post about Tracen I might as well add some of the new funny stuff his brothers are teaching him to say!

Whatever Mom!

Who Cares!

He’s 3 going on about 15 or so.  Little snot.  But he’s hilarious most of the time, snuggly sometimes, mean occasionally, a bully every so often.  We love this little boy and he’s growing up too fast!

Miscommunication :)

My mom called my phone and had the following conversation….

Hey, how are you doing

fine (short answer)

Are you sure? What’s wrong?

nothing

(starting to think there is something really bad going on) Are you really ok? Can I help you with something?

I’m fine

(now she’s thinking there’s something going on but she better not push it) Oh ok, well I tried to get some pictures off your blog but when I right click on it it says that if I want to get your pictures I need to email you….so can you email me some of your family pictures from your blog?

Huh?

Starts in again….I tried to get some…………So can you email me some of your family pictures from your blog?

My mom won’t let me have a blog.

Silence………….

She was talking to Tyler the whole time.  Apparently he sounds just like me.  I told him not to worry I have a low voice.  She called my phone and expected to get me and Ty never clued her in that he’d answered my phone.  She’s sure glad that I’m ok though :)

more quotes

Me:Why don’t you take the boys to the parade and then I can get some sleep
Josh: I can’t get the boys ready before the parade
Me: You won’t ever take the boys anywhere by yourself
Josh: I took them to church by myself and the ranch yesterday.
Me: Um I do that all the time by myself
Josh: But you’re the mom
Me: So what, would you like a medal then?
Josh: Yep

Tracen: Mom will you take my helmet off and hold it and put it back on?
Me: Why do you need it off?
Tracen: So I can button my shorts
Me: why don’t I just button your shorts for you?
Tracen: No mom you need to take off my helmet and hold and then put it back on K?
Me: ok then
Tracen: Don’t wear my helmet K mom

And the best one….Tracen has mastered use of the word “duh” lately. He says it with quite the inflection too
Tracen: Duh
Josh: Where did that come from?
Tracen: It came from my mouth….duh!
