Halloween

We had an interesting Halloween this year.  We did most of our partying on Saturday the 29th.  I guess we started back on Thursday though….

Thursday we hosted the Halloween party for Joy School.  We did some fun stuff I found on pinterest.  We made spiders…we traced the kids hands, cut them out (minus thumbs), glued them together and added googly eyes.  We also made skeletons out of q-tips.  We ate Frankenstein for a snack and played a little pumpkin/ghost bowling, ring toss and read a few books.  Tracen dressed up as Buzz for the party.

Friday night Josh and I got to work and we got a little too much halloween fun.

Saturday Josh’s Aunt Lorie had a party for the kids.  They played lots of games and there was a lot of good food.  Tracen decided today that he wanted to be superman…so superman he was.  I finished Link’s super cute (super cheap) ghost costume.  I think he made the cutest ghost ever.  We had to leave part way through that party to hit the ward trunk-or-treat.  First we had some yummy food.  Tyler and Jesse decorated our trunk.  I took the little boys around to get their candy.  Jesse went around with his buddy and Ty and Ethan handed out our candy.  They turned the back of the car into a shark with a great big tongue.  Part way through it Ty climbed under the blanket (tongue) and started attacking people with it.  It was pretty funny.

Somehow this is the only picture I got of Jesse in his costume.  He was a Ranger off of Ranger’s apprentice.  I made him that awesome cape. :)

Monday the boys were going to get all dressed up and do some more trick-or-treating and we were going to go see Grandma Bev and eat at Anns.  We did see Grandma and eat but no one even dressed up.  Tracen had even borrowed another costume from Addi so he wouldn’t have to be the same thing twice :)  But Ty was sick and Tracen was onery and didn’t want to dress up.  So I put Link and Tracen in jammies and away we went to Grandmas.  I had to work Halloween as well but one of the day nurses offered to come in and work for me for a few hours.  I got there about 8:30 though because our partying for the night was pretty pathetic ha ha.  Dinner was super yummy though and it was fun to play with the cousins and sing happy birthday to Ty one more time.  Ann made him German chocolate cupcakes.
