For the past 6 months I've been doing extra training at crossfit as part of the competition prep group. I never really thought that I would be in the competitive group I just wanted to see how far the extra training would get me. I have really enjoyed doing it and made a lot of gains in a lot of areas, especially my mental blocks. I competed in the crossfit open and actually did better than I thought I would some of the time. Other times I've been disappointed. It's been an up and down road. I did most of the open workouts twice, which I'm not so sure was such a great idea. I gave my all the first time and never really got that much of a better score the second time around. One week I had gone all out on the second one and thought I had done an extra round. I got the same exact score as earlier in the week. I was so mad. But it taught me a lot about myself which I'm super happy about and I made a lot of progress. I actually ended up being the alternate when our team made it to regionals.
