Just Me and the Neilson Boys
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's learning to dance in the rain

We went and got a Christmas tree. We were a little late doing this. Really we should never go get trees we should just go buy one. I always end up frustrated by the time it's over. Josh's eye's are bigger than our family room, even now that we have vaulted ceilings.

Our adventure goes something like this........... Aren't you going to start the chainsaw before we leave to make sure it works?.......apparently not. How bout this one....no it's too small, how bout this one.....no it's too ugly, how bout this one....no it's too small. Then we nearly get stuck in the snow and fall off a cliff. (ok maybe not quite that bad, but I did think we were walking.) Josh finally picks one and guess what the chainsaw doesn't start.........

So I go and get in the truck and sarcastically say to the boys, you better start praying for dad that that chainsaw starts.........So Jesse does. Three prayers later the chainsaw starts. At that point I have to laugh and quit being onery about it. So I get out and tell Josh that he better thank Jesse for the chainsaw starting because he's the only reason it did! So he cuts down the tree and we head for home. Josh puts the stand on and we haul the tree in the house....um it's too tall, guess those other trees weren't too little, maybe next year he'll listen :) So I tell him I'm not hauling the tree back thru the door so he brings the chainsaw in the house (my idea) the whole house stinks like 2 stroke. Then we chop some off the top...The star still touches the ceiling. I had to get a ladder to decorate the top, the boys decorate the bottom. Tracen takes off decorations and says "uh oh" Really maybe next year we should go to home depot. They have them all cut and sized and everything!
