I found this quote today while mindlessly surfing blogs during one of the moments Tracen wouldn't let me leave him with Jesse so I could sleep. I love Sister Hinckley, she was so funny. I love this quote by her...
“I don’t want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk’s lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor’s children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone’s garden. I want to be there with children’s sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.” Marjorie Pay Hinckley

I love that too! Thanks for sharing.
I love that quote too! In fact I printed it off a couple weeks ago and hung it up! You should have brought Tracen over!!!
My Mom sent that the other day. It is so perfect!
You HAVE to read Small and Simple things by her! Ann gave it to me and it is one of my all time fav's!
Hey, that's one of my favorites too! I had it all ready to put in my lesson for Mother's Day!
You have a very cute family! How do you keep up with three boys...and still look like you have expertly coiffed hair and perfectly manicured nails? Tis a mystery!
Enjoy living today.
