County Fair

The boys were so excited to enter some of their stuff in the Fair this year.  They took a painting class this summer and each had two oil paintings to enter.  Jesse created something with legos as well…which to my surprise there were lots of lego creations so I let him enter it.  Ty had been begging me to help him make a quilt and he wanted it done in time to enter it in the fair.  He was thinking along the lines of a pieced quilt.  I told him he was going to have to have a chat with his grandma about that one, but  if he wanted I’d help him make a rag quilt :)

When we showed up to find their stuff Ty immediately saw his quilt with a big pinkish-purply ribbon on it with reserve sweepstakes.  He was one very happy boyDSC_0305

Then we found their paintings (except one) and Jesse’s legos.  Blue ribbons all around and happy boys!DSC_0307

K well Ty doesn’t look so happy, but he was really.

Ty couldn’t find his last painting though.  We looked all around for it.  He finally went and asked if they knew where it was and they did.  I was shocked that they’d know where one little boys painting was until I found out where it was.  It was in the sweepstakes area!  Ty won a big purple ribbon for his painting!  He was so excited!  He won quite a bit of money for his two big ribbons too and they each won some for their blue ribbons which will help with their Wii fund :)
