Tracen has provided a lot of entertainment this week. Some of it good, some not so good. He’s gotten into quite a bit of trouble too!
This morning I was feeding Lincoln and Tracen was driving his jeeps all over my bed, my legs etc. He kepts saying things like “oh man!” and “Whoa!” He makes great jeep noises as well. He finally parked the jeep next to my legs and said “he’s home” What’s funny is he says “oh man” with kind of a growly voice, it’s hilarious. Then he took a trip off the bed and that adventure was over!
I put Lincoln in his bed so that I could get up and do a few things like brush my teeth. This is what I found when I came back around the corner…
Guess he was concerned Link would get lonely or something.
Last night he was up on the table squatted down and growling at everyone. Someone asked him if he was a man-eating frog. He smiled big and said “I a manee fog”
He helped me with the peas and beans yesterday…
Then when I went in the other room to change Lincolns bum he dumped them all out all over the living room.
The other morning he wanted to eat his breakfast on the back porch. It was cute.
As you can see he keeps letting his kitty in the house. As a side note these are the Pj’s he was wearing the other night in my last post.
Tracen has started telling us when he has done his thing in his diaper. Sometimes before. And lately he’s started taking off his diaper and then telling us. Not fun. Especially the day he got it on his feet while taking off said diaper and grinding it into the carpet. So not fun. So we decided since I had a little over a week off this past week that we would try to potty train him. We got him all excited, bought pull ups and a Lightening McQueen potty seat. He was so excited that he sat on it once. He still thinks its great, He thinks everyone should use his seat, especially me! Everyone except for him. He gets this furrowed eyebrow look and a high squeaky voice and says things like “I doan poop toelet” (I don’t poop on the toilet-imagine a southern drawl you’ll get it") or “I no poop McQueen!” all while shaking his head no. But he’ll follow everyone else into the bathroom and try to slip the McQueen potty seat on the toilet while you’re not looking. So we’ve changed tactics. We’re trying to get him to not take his diaper off until after he’s told us he’s gone.
Lincolns got his own set of issues. He’s started biting me when he eats. But how can you get too mad at a face like this?
He’s so dang cute. I sure wish he’d sleep better at night though. We’re still getting up 2-3 times per night. Tracen spoiled me with his amazing sleeping capabilities. I’m afraid I’m going to be a walking zombie for quite some time yet.
He sure is fun though. In the mornings he lays there and smiles, talks, kicks and waves his arms around. He can almost roll over too. Once he figures out how to get over that last little shoulder hurdle he’ll be on his tummy. I don’t think he’ll like it much once he get there but he’ll be there all the same!
Guess I better run, Tracen just let the cat in again. I think I throw that thing out 6 times a day or more!
