I just realized that after Lincoln turned 1 I stopped doing monthly posts on him. So I figured I better at least do quarterly updates. Lincoln is a funny happy kid most of the time. He’s started screaming a lot though. He screams if he’s happy, sad, wants something, doesn’t get what he wants…or doesn’t get it fast enough, if he’s surprised, if he’s mad, I think he even screams if he thinks it’s been too quiet for too long! He doesn’t even grunt or reach or ask nicely for things he wants, his initial reaction is to scream!
Here are some of the things he does (besides screaming)
- He loves to “jump” on the trampoline. Its more like running around.
- He loves to swing
- He says lots of things like uh oh, no, mine, momma, da da, daddy, see ya, help, stop and a few other things. His most common ones are “no! mine!” “uh oh” and “hope!” which is how he says help.
- He loves music and listening to headphones with Josh or Ty
- He likes Yo Gabba Gabba, it doesn’t hold his attention very well but he likes to dance to the music and he thinks the guy with orange hair is pretty funny to look at.
- He has the cutest giggle.
- I love listening to him jabber.
- He is a climber. He climbs up on top of the table and anything else he can figure out how to get on.
- He loves the tubby
- He loves lotion. When he gets a hold of it it’s pretty disastrous.
- He’s developed a serious case of stranger danger. And he’s super attached to me. For a couple of days he didn’t even want Josh if I was around. He’d hold him screaming while I made dinner. It was interesting.

I love this dirty little face.
He’s quite the little daredevil. I’m fairly certain he’s going to get hurt all the time because he’s always climbing and getting down.
And over the edge. He’s found out this is quite the fun game.
We love our little Linky man. He’s getting big way too fast. I swear he was just a baby the other day!
