One late night while working in the ER, Heidi, Amanda and I got a crazy idea….hey, let’s go to the Train concert in Salt Lake! So we logged onto the internet and bought tickets! We bought an extra one for Crystal, who when Heidi told her about it said “Great! who are they!” ha ha. At the last minute Amanda had to work extra and couldn’t come so we recruited Colleen into our craziness.
My mom and I had to stay all weekend in Salt Lake so that we could go to my cousin’s wedding so we got a hotel room and I just invited them along to sack out in our room….I bet my mom loves me for that one. Poor Crystal ended up sleeping on the floor due to unknown fire codes by the person who booked our hotel room and told us “no problem you can have a roll away bed”
We rode Trax down to the Gallivan center and then walked like 3 blocks to find the end of the line…and no I’m not kidding! This is us at the end of the line:
We finally walked the three blocks back to the entrance and found a comfy spot on the grass before taking turns saving our spot while the rest of us took turns going to the bathroom and getting overpriced food and drinks.
K the concert was super fun, and we had probably as much fun people watching….there are some nuts out there. In the middle of the concert the sprinklers turned on and got us all wet. Heidi and I being the smart peeps we are thought that the crazy drunk chicks behind us were spraying our rear ends with silly string and so we ignored them at first until we realized it was wet! oops…
We stood and sang and laid on the grass, it was awesome!
On the ride home…on Trax. Heidi decided she wanted donuts…well I don’t know about Crystal and Colleen but the moment I heard donut it was all I could think about. SO we drove all over Salt Lake looking for a place to buy a donut at 11:30 pm…the nearest Krispy Kreme is in orem folks. We finally found a run down dumpy 7-11 with donuts! yay! and then I scarffed mine down so fast that everyone made fun of me :) We went and crashed at the motel room where Crystal got up at 5:30 a.m. and ran a 5K and did an entire workout before any of us were even conscious. Then I joined her at 7:30 a.m. and then we woke Heidi up at like 9 and told her to get her butt out of bed…she pretty much hated us :) We ate at a yummy bakery and then they headed home and my mom and I went shopping :)
