I cannot believe that my (biggest, er…oldest..) baby turned 12 years old! That cannot happen just yet! Tyler has been planning turning 12 for the last couple of months and was so excited about it. We even put off deer hunting for a few days (of which, he was almost as equally excited) for the big event. Tyler’s birthday was on Sunday. So Sunday morning before church we met the bishop at the church for his ordination as a deacon. He was so excited to be a deacon and to get to pass the sacrament….Actually if we back track a little, the week before his birthday the bishop presented him to the ward to be ordained so that we could do the ordination before sacrament meeting on his birthday. The young men came and got him from primary that week and when he left I totally cried. I tried not to, but I did anyway. So back to his birthday. We did the ordination before church. Josh gave him a very nice blessing too and his two grandpas and Uncle Jerry were there to help as well as the bishop.
After the ordination we had brunch at our house so that everyone could have a little lunch before church. Then we, of course, took a billion pictures. Everyone followed us to church and Tyler passed the sacrament, which he was super excited and nervous to do.
Tyler is an amazing kid, everyone always tells me how much they enjoy having him around. He is definitely making his way into being a teenager but I do enjoy him. He is super smart, works hard at school, loves playing the piano and the cello and can be super sweet with his brothers when he wants to be. I love you Tyler!
A little surprise from Grandma Bev :)
