Halloween

This year everyone knew exactly what they wanted to be….so the hunt was on to get costumes together. Tyler wanted to be Seneca Crane from the Hunger Games, Jesse an army dude, Tracen Captain America and Lincoln insisted on being the red Angry bird.

We were able to put together Jesse’s costume no problem…thanks Jesse!  Tylers took a little bit more effort and some artistic abilities on my part for his face.  Tracen was a little more work.  I found him a blue set of leggings (I won’t say where ha ha) and a blue long sleeved shirt to which I added a white felt star.  We got a 99 cent hat and Jesse made a duck tape “A” on it.  Red gloves with red duck tape extensions and covered his irrigation boots in red duck tape too (thank heavens for duck tape!)  Jesse had a shield downstairs that he helped Tracen paint into a Captain America shield (extra points for Jesse!).  I made Link’s costume and it was a labor of love.  It looked easy enough….but it was slightly harder than that!  Not too bad though but it did take some time and some trying on….which he didn’t love.  But it turned out so cute and if I ever make one again I’ll know what to change!

Jesse had basketball practice so he stayed in Parowan and went trick-or-treating with his friend Marshall.  Kind of sad that he’s all grown up enough to hang out with friends instead of mom but he had a lot of fun.  Tyler and Tracen and Lincoln went with me to Aunt Lorie’s party, went to see dad for a few minutes (he was working) and then went back to Parowan where we trick-or-treated with Addi (Ty was nice and helped Lincoln out)  Lincoln was so cute running from house to house yelling “trick treat!” and “Tank you!” At one point he was even growling in his deep voice “turn out the lights”  He drug his plastic bag around on the ground (because he’s close to the ground) until it got a hole in it.  The kids are so dang cute at Halloween!DSC_0552

I made them take some pictures together once we all got home together.   Jesse definitely ended up with the most candy!DSC_0584
