He melts my heart

Tracen is two months old today! I can't believe it. In some ways I want him to stay a baby forever, but then all the new things he does are so fun. He has started giving me the best smiles and they really do just melt my heart. Over the past week and a half or so he's started talking a whole bunch too. Pretty much every morning he wakes up happy, smiles at me and talks my ear off for an hour or so. I LOVE it! Then he'll sometimes have another talkative spurt in the afternoon. The boys and their dad think it's great as well. With all this smiling and talking has come quite a little bit of drool as well as you can see from his pictures (the shiny chin).



I took Tracen to the Dr. today. He weighs 14 lbs 2 oz and is 25 inches long. He's really tall and weighs a lot but he has a normal sized head :) He also got some shots, which I had to prepare Ty and Jesse for as they are a little overly attentive at times. This was the first time I'd taken them with me to the dr office and they talked the doctors ear off telling him all about Tracen. I guess taking good care of your brother can bring you right out of your shell since neither of them usually talk. I had to keep telling them to sit down and I tried to keep their willingness to share all of Tracen's acheivements to a minimum. They just love him I guess!

I went to St. George last week and had lunch with Nikki and Kari. They loved on Tracen for a while and we had lots of fun. He likes to stare at lights as you can tell.
