Lincoln turned 6 months old last week. I can’t believe how much he’s changed in the past month! He’s getting so big. When Lincoln was born and back in the hospital for a few days the nurses kept commenting on how wiggly he was. He still just goes and goes. All my other babies were mellow and not worried about showing off their skills, but not Lincoln! I’m sure he does way more at this point than the other boys did.
So what does he do?
He crawls (ish) We’ll call it an army crawl, but he is up on his knees too and it won’t be long. Either way he does it he gets pretty much where he wants to go, and it doesn’t take that long. Speaking of, none of the others crawled until they were supposed to (9 mo) now what am I going to do about my Christmas tree? I had plans you know.
He sits. In the past week and a half he’s learned to sit a lot better too. He and Jesse had a little practice session one day while I was trying to sleep. It was a cute thing to over hear. He will fall over after awhile, but he has impressed us with his sitting skills
He laughs and talks. This has gone way way up lately. Sometimes even if you just smile really big at him he’ll laugh. He laughs when he’s tickled or when you make funny faces at him. He sits and jabbers up a storm sometimes too. It’s pretty funny!
He loves his food. He likes a good meal of peaches, pears, sweet potatoes or squash. Unfortunately I’m lazy and haven’t expanded that diet much, but I’ll get around to it.
This past month Lincoln also got his first case of croup. That was not fun at all. We were in Salt Lake when he got it. I tried to wait it out. On the way home we stopped a few times, wrapped him up and I stood outside on some random exit holding him so he could breathe in the cold air. It helped a little. But we were supposed to go to Logandale too and he wasn’t getting any better. I didn’t want to end up in the ER in the middle of the night in Mesquite. So I had a nice ER dr who wrote me for a dexamethasone for him without checking him in. I was grateful and he gladly took an ENTIRE bucket of pomegranates as pay :) He got over the croupy part a few hours later and the cold hung around awhile longer than that.
Lincoln is still just so much fun! He knows he’s so cool getting around the house and will just look up at you and smile and giggle. He loves people and smiles all the time, just so happy! He has his dr appointment this week, so I don’t know how much he weighs, I’ll have to add that later. Now on to the cute pictures.
Sitting up by himself!
playing with toys…but hmmm what’s that?
Mom’s got something better go get it.
Hey it happens to the best of us sometimes!
Don’t worry I’ll get back up…and drool.
Sometimes I’m even too fast for my pants….I just leave them behind.
The End!

"Too fast for my pants"! Love it!! What a cutie. :)
What a serious cutie! Jeff doesn't love his knees yet. He'll get up every once in a while, but for some reason he would rather work 10x harder and just pull himself places. haha :) Sometimes I think his chubby legs get in the way and bug him a bit!
