9 months

The journey from 8 to 9 months was a little rough for Lincoln and still is darn it.

First he got the flu…the for real, high temp, lethargic and sometimes puking flu.  The poor little guy slept for like 3 days.  He ate mostly tylenol and ibuprofen and drank diluted gatorade for a week.  Anytime I tried giving him milk it made him mucousy and he’d just throw it up.  I even thought about taking him to the ER one night but I knew what they’d do to him if I did.  I just kept thinking….he’s drinking, he’s peeing and his temp comes down with meds.  Everyone was sick that week and miserable….except me (sick, still miserable taking care of it all!)

Then a week or so went by and Jesse and Josh got strep.  Link was pretty miserable himself.  I didn’t know this but apparently babies don’t really get strep they don’t have receptors for it or something like that.  But he did have a sinus infection and ear infection.  So half the family was on antibiotics.

He’s been pretty happy until Sunday night when he started getting onery again.  I thought he was just teething but then Monday night he got a fever.  He’s still pretty miserable today as you can tell by his pictures!

Here’s some other highlights though:

He has now lost his army crawl.  I’m actually sad about this, I love that little army crawl.  He’s now a big boy.

He still loves pulling himself up to everything in sight but now he’ll walk around it while holding on.

He is a momma and daddy’s boy.  If someone else is holding him and he can get one of us to instead he’s happy.

He jabbers quite a bit now.  Still only saying daddy though.

He pinches hard.  Not on purpose but it hurts!

He is keeping up with the boys.  He’ll get down and wrestle with his brothers and dad.  Sometimes he really goes after Tracen.

The other night he was so tired and he kept falling asleep in Josh’s lap while watching TV.  He was totally doing the head bob thing.  I’ll have to try to post the video.

OK now for some pictures.  You can tell he doesn’t feel great and I love that his hair is sticking up all over.  It’s because he’s sleeping or fussing and rubbing his head on you or snuggling.   He’s still so dang cute though.DSC_0008 copy DSC_0012 copyDSC_0016 copy
