Training and a little get away or two

Twice this month Josh has had trainings to attend out of town.  I was lucky enough to be able to go with him.  And we are lucky enough to have grandparents willing to spend some time with our kiddos!

The first weekend we headed over to Bryce Canyon.  We went the night before so we didn’t have to get up so early.  We ate and stayed at Ruby’s Inn and did a little wandering around.  I actually decided to go with Josh to his training the next day.  The speaker was really, really good.  He covered some fairly disturbing material but it was good for both of us in our occupations as well as being parents!  Afterward we drove into Bryce and took a few pictures (with my phone lol) but we didn’t get around to too much hiking….it was freezing!

A week and a half later we drove up to Ogden for Josh to attend a preparedness training.  We ate at a super yummy place called Roosters.  Although I should have I didn’t go with him to this training.  Instead I spent way too much money buying me some new clothes :)  After that we ate some sub zero ice cream which happens to be our favorite (it was a half a block away) and dinner at a place called Wing Nuts.  Josh loves wings and they were really good.  I think he’s considering a double business venture with a Sub Zero and a Wing Nuts all in one.  I’m all for it, I’d never have to cook again!  We didn’t want to get home at 10 or 11 so we stayed the night and went home the next day.  We made a few stops along the way at a police store and Cabela’s (where I found a few guns I liked…too bad I don’t have a money tree) then we ate dinner again and found us another Sub Zero ice cream store.  So it took us awhile to get home!  We were excited to see the boys until we all piled into the car and they immediately began fighting! lol.1328391464923
