Tracen update, baseball and other good things

I gave in and uploaded the photos to Josh's computer. And for a blessing in disguise, sometimes it's a good thing that computers hate me. I had given the ok for the computer to delete all the pictures on the camera disk about a half a second before I realized that it hadn't unloaded them all. I was so bummed. But when I opened the folder back up every picture was still there.

I also took my computer in to get fixed. It's still under warranty at Best buy. By the way, I hate best buy. If you're thinking of buying anything there you might possible need fixed someday, I would strongly recommend that you don't. Their computer fixing department stinks. Sorry if you work there, started the company, run their service dept or are married or related in anyway to someone who does, but this is my 4th go around with them on two different computers. So after fighting with the guy (I'm not as shy and timid as I used to be, in fact sometimes I think I'm pretty darn mean) about whether or not they were going to send the computer back to me if it was too expensive to fix he finally rounds up a cord and plugs it in....don't worry it's just the cord....which they replaced in December. Go figure. So in 3-5 days I should have a new computer cord.

OK on to happier thoughts:

Tracen is (more than) 11 months old!

I know people say it all the time but I seriously can't believe how time flies! I can't believe he's going to be 1 in like 2.5 weeks! Crazy!! We love our little boy though, so much. He has the funniest personality. Up until now Jesse has been the jokester in the family but I told him he'd better watch out because I think Tracen might out do him. He totally teases! I was at my friends house the other day and I didn't notice that Tracen had climbed half the stairs so I ran to grab him and he squealed and tried to climb even faster. Then it was a big game and he kept trying over and over to do it. Gabe (her little boy) was "tending" Tracen and Tricia told him to yell "red alert" if he started climbing the stairs. Pretty soon we hear Gabe yelling "red alert! red alert!" It was hilarious!
Here's more proof he's a big tease. He bites, but not hard. He will bite you and if you say ouch or pretend to cry he laughs and goes to bite again but does it a lot softer. funny kid.
Here's something else I caught him doing.....feeding the dog. He's such a little stinker! He was totally feeding Sadie his hot dog....well it was more of a one for you, one for me kind of a deal. So gross! Here's Jesse showing Tracen the ropes of a home depot cart. Jesse hasn't been allowed to ride in a cart for so long, he was loving it!

More about Tracen:
We are no longer afraid he will walk before he's one...in fact, now we're afraid he'll never walk. He walks around furniture but if you try to grab his hands and make him walk he sits right down.
He loves his tubby, eating soap, licking water and his favorite is when I lay him down to wash his hair. He gets a huge smile on his face and kicks and splashes. He also likes to shower with his dad.
He's sleeping through the night again! wohoo!!
He loves to be outside.
He loves dogs. He will stare at them, yell "daw" at them and bark at them. He also tries to crawl away from me and get them.
He doesn't like to hold still long enough to get dressed or have his diaper changed, this can present quite the problem. See above picture :)
He loves the boys, and he gets so excited when they come home from school.
He wakes up from naps happy and will just sit in his crib and play until someone comes to get him. If he's crying, he didn't sleep long enough.
He gives awesome hugs and kisses, waves bye bye with both hands one pointed each way, and plays patty cake.
He's seriously so much fun and just a good happy baby. Right now he has an ear infection, a fever a sore throat and the nastiest green snot ever pouring from his nose. I can't wait to get my happy baby back!
An Afternoon hike A few weekends ago, the weather was amazing. So we went out to Parowan Gap and did a little hiking. We had a lot of fun. It started out a little rocky with Ty. He's been super pessimistic lately and it drives me crazy. He whines and complains about everything it seems like. So the minute he started whining I made him come up with one happy thought for every whine he whined. Pretty soon he was having a good time. Josh even let him lead the way and he led us straight up a steep hill. Josh was in the back making comments about him being a mountain goat which I think made him feel pretty good. Jesse got to lead the way down the hill because we all have to have a turn you know.
Jesse believing in all things cowboy, refused to don shorts. He stuck to his trusty wranglers and cowboy hat accompanied by his camelbak, sun glasses and bb gun. He's hilarious. He also picked up every rock that could be construed as black and asked if it was obsidian because that's what the indians made arrowheads out of. I answered every question with "I don't know what obsidian looks like" Ty answered every one with "I know what it looks like and that's not it" (pessimist?)The boys made sure I found lots of pretty desert flowers and plants to take pictures of :)

Ty was really interested in all the cool rocks, but soon decided it wasn't worth carrying them all around.

Tracen sat back and enjoyed the view. At one point Josh asked me if he was positioned funny because he was breathing hard. I checked him out and he was fine. I told Josh that hiking was hard for kids his age and that he needed a rest :)
Ty finally enjoying our little outing:

And since this is my favorite photo of the day you get to see it again. I actually uploaded it twice on accident, but since it's so cute/funny....why not?

Baseball
The boys started baseball a few weeks ago. Jesse loves it, Ty loves it when he's actually there playing it (more of that pessimistic problem we're having). Thankfully they are on the same team. Jesse actually missed the deadline by 5 whole stinking days and they were going to make him play t-ball, but we begged and pleaded and they are on the same baseball team. So far they've had 4 games. One was nice, the other two were cold or windy or both. But they are having fun. Last night Jesse was the catcher he was soooo dang cute. The pads were bigger than him. He did a good job stopping the ball, even though there's not any stealing going on :)

Ty looks enthusiastic I know...

Jesse on shortstop, ready to go.

Tracen liked yelling and shaking the fence real hard :) He's Grandpa's buddy.

I think the rock picking up crap is genetic!! Joleen and I had a rock garden from all the dang rocks we picked up...I hear its from Grandpa Neilson so I guess its a good trait!!
