5 months

DSC_0007 edit Times flies!  Lincoln is 5 months already!  I can’t believe it.  We are still here having lots of fun with our little man.

Lincoln is a drool monster.  I’m not kidding, he should be dehydrated just by the amount of fluid he loses out his mouth!  It’s crazy!  He can make puddles.  If you think I’m kidding refer back to the photo at the top!

Link has decided he likes to sleep on his tummy.  In the past week or so if I put him down while he’s still awake, he rolls right over then lays his head down and goes to sleep.  Being the smart mom I am I just started laying him down on his stomach today.  Hopefully he’ll nap longer if he doesn’t have to wake up to roll over himself!

Speaking of rolling over, he does a lot of that too.  If I lay him down he rolls right over within a few seconds and stays that way.  I don’t think any of the other boys enjoyed being on their belly as much as Lincoln does.  He can also move all over the place because he’s so wiggly.  I don’t think he has any control over where he’s going, but he sure goes there anyway!  That’s why he’s surrounded by pillows.  We wouldn’t want him falling off the bed!

He is such a happy baby!  He’s always smiling, talking and laughing.  I love it when he squeals!  He seriously only cries when he’s tired, hungry or wants someone to give him attention.  If he’s just wanting attention he’ll stop the minute you pick him up and give you a big smile

He likes sitting straight up.  He used to hate his swing but since he’s been able to sit up better and we made it so he wasn’t reclining he likes it a lot better.  He doesn’t even use the back of the chair, he leans against the tray instead….and then drools.  He also likes sitting in his bumbo and his walker.  He can kind of sit up on his own for a minute but soon folds in half and ends up on the floor.

I don’t know what happened to his face there.  I’m not beating him promise!

He’s sleeping better finally.  I finally started letting him cry out his 1 a.m. feeding.  So now he generally gets up around 3 or 4 to eat and then will sleep again until 6:30 or 7.  I’m getting a lot more sleep so that makes me happy!

He loves food when I feed it to him.  I need to be a little more consistent with that.  I haven’t noticed that it helps him sleep any better or anything so I haven’t been religious with the solids yet.  But he does really well with them so far.  He’s only had squash and rice so far.

He plays with his toys a lot now.  I love watching him get his eye on something and then figure out how to get his hands to it and fingers around it.  So cute!

I should have some more pictures of him soon.  Gotta get that giraffe photo!
