I can't believe Lincoln is almost a year old! He turned 11 months while we were in Capitol Reef. He is such a fun and happy baby. I just love him so much and I'm so grateful Heavenly Father sent him to our family.
Here is some of the fun stuff he is doing now:
- He loves food. I pretty much just feed him whatever we are eating, breaking it up when it needs to be.
- He babbles talks and laughs. It's so cute to listen to his little voice.
- He wrestles with his brothers. It's hilarious.
- He crawls like a monkey. He can't go fast enough on his knees so he gets up on his feet and runs. When people see him for the first time they think it's so funny. For us it's just Lincoln! But he is FAST! I have a video below. I hope it loaded right!
- Lincoln is on the go. He can also walk. He takes anywhere from 3 steps to 20. He's also been standing up in the middle of the floor for about 2 months.
- He's a great sleeper. His self proclaimed bed time is 7:30. He gets more and more onery the later you keep him up past that. He also goes down for a nap about 9:30 a.m. and then usually again in the afternoon.
- He loves his minky fabric blankets. He has 2 of them and we always try to have one available. He puts it up to his face and says "ahhh" He loves it at nap time and in the car especially.
- We are down to only 2-3 bottles a day right before nap and bedtimes. Those last ones are going to be hard to give up! I'm still trying to get him to learn to drink from a straw but he can drink from a sippy so we're good on alternatives!
- I've never really put shoes on him because he just pulls them off...and his socks. I put shoes on him the other day and he didn't know what to do with them. He acted like crawling was a whole new experience and walking was a no go.
I'm so excited, we got our family pictures done the other day by our friend from Crossfit before she left for the summer. Everyone cooperated really well but Link performed his best. So I think I'll have some really great 11 mo pics of him!
