Backpacking

This weekend Josh decided to take Ty and Jesse backpacking.  The boys got backpacks for Christmas and I guess it was time they used them.  I had to work and Tracen and Lincoln are too little to go.  Crystal and Kurt went with them too.  They went over to Phipps arch in Escalante.  I wish I could have gone.  They had lots of fun and Josh said the boys did really well carrying their packs, which came in at about 20 pounds each.  Especially for Jesse who only weighs like 50.

I got really worried in the morning because I checked the weather (it was stormy here) and it looked like where they were was dry at the moment but about to get slammed with lots of blue and green on the doppler weather thingy.  Blue and green aren’t good when you’re out hiking and camping in a tent.  But Josh said it wasn’t too bad, mostly just windy at night.  The boys said they loved it and can’t wait to go again.  I’m hoping to get to go with them once or twice this summer.  Tracen really wanted to go to.  He kept saying “Ina go hikin’ too” So he went with me to St George to go shopping instead.  He totally got the bum end of the deal!  Except he got to go play with his cousins and eat homemade pizza.  That helped a little :)

I had to throw one in of Crystal and Kurt so you’d know they were there.  I told Crystal to make sure Josh took good care of my kids!

I’m guessing that’s the arch in the background
