A good friend/date

Last month I received the Nurse Excellence award for the ER.  It came with (insert sarcastic voice here) like going and getting my picture taken and having it hang on the wall by the ER entrance for an entire year.  I tried to get Chris (my manager) to hang it in a closet but it’s still there.  It also came with a nice lunch (really it was nice, no sarcasm) with all the other departments awardees (is that a word?)  This lunch was a +1 type of a deal so I invited my dear husband who quickly let me know that he would be in training in St. George, and no he couldn’t get out of it.  So I asked my friend Heidi on a date.  She was so nice and said yes.  Don’t worry there was one other non-significant other duo there, someone brought their daughter lol.  We tried to behave ourselves and did fairly well until right at the end when Heidi licked her fingers and fixed my hair for the group photo lol!  As part of my thing I got this embroidered jacket, which is really nice, and Heidi has claimed partial time with.  So here she is wearing my jacket a week or two later.  We added “Date” on a piece of tape to properly label her.  I love my friends at work!  They make working worth it and bearable and fun!
