My little Lincoln man

I can’t believe my baby is 2 years old!  Where did that time go?  I’m a little late posting this but I still wanted to do it.  Lincoln is so fun and happy most of the time.  He talks so much and copies everything his brothers do.  It’s so funny, you can tell he has older brothers who teach him to say things like “oh freak” and “poopy” (that one’s maybe not so funny) but he says tons of stuff that he would only get from his brothers.  He always wants to follow them around and do whatever it is that they’re doing too.

Lincoln has a little bit of the terrible two’s going on too.  He can scream with the best of them, throw a pretty impressive temper tantrum and has the word “no” down pat.  We are no where near ready to potty train…me or him.  We rarely make it through sacrament meeting because he’s too busy making noise or throwing one of his tantrums when everyone else is being quiet.  Although last Sunday when it was just Josh, me and him he made it through.  Maybe the boys antagonize him a little….that would be shocking. lol.

He’s also become quite the momma’s boy, which makes me feel awesome and is somewhat irritating all at the same time!  He cries anytime I leave him, even if it’s with the boys, Josh, Grandma, to take the garbage out or feed the animals.  He wants to go with me no matter what.  He won’t go to nursery either.  he thinks it’s a great idea as long as I stay too!  But I know this won’t last forever so I’m enjoying him being my best little buddy.

A few funny recent stories…

The other Sunday Megan tried to get him to go with her and she was going to take him to nursery.  He would not go.  But as soon as she left he kept saying “Ina pay wif Megan!” all through Sr Primary.  He has decided Megan is ok (and Addi!) most of the time now.

We have tons of grasshoppers outside right now.  Last week Tracen caught a grasshopper and named her Lisa.  Today Lincoln was outside while I was grilling some chicken and he kept trying to catch a “babee eeesa” (baby lisa)  Then he drug Josh outside to have him help catch a few Lisa’s  It was so funny to hear him squeal every time Josh caught him a Lisa.

We took our boat to Minersville reservoir last weekend to see if it would run (that’s another story).  Lincoln absolutely loved being in the boat.  After we were done with our boat we swam in the reservoir a bit and caught crawdads.  Lincoln wore his pirate life jacket the whole time and loved it.  He wanted to poke the “crab” with a stick and he played on the knee board and had so much fun.  Both he and Tracen cried when we left.  Now everytime we go outside he wants to go in the boat and he makes us take off his clothes in the house and he puts on his life jacket and will wear it for hours and talk about the boat.  He’s going to love the lake!….that is if our boat ever works good enough to enjoy it!

Lincoln I love you so much!  You are so much fun and I’m so grateful Heavenly Father sent you to our family.  It would not be the same without you!

And now for a whole bunch of pictures of our little buddy!

Today we went to the pool just me and him.  He took awhile to warm up to being in the water but then he started having fun.

Enjoying a popsicle.  Lincoln spends a good portion of the time in his skivvy’s…he prefers it that way.

I just really love this picture….he got these boots for his birthday.  And like I said, clothes are completely optional in his life.

And I love this one….this is a temper tantrum.  He wanted to go play with either Megan or Addi…I can’t remember.

He got these cheetos for his birthday.  He loves cheetos.  He was very nice to share, but he had to be holding the bag!

This picture is not about the big cup as you might be thinking.  It’s about the pair of Thomas underwear he pulled up on top of his diaper….sort of.
