Tracen turns 4?

Really?  When did that happen?  He’s growing up so fast!

Tracen is a big boy still.  He is wearing size 5 and 6 clothes.  Most of his clothes are hand me downs from when Jesse was in Kindergarten and first grade.  Tracen doesn’t start kindergarten for one more year!

He thinks he’s older than he is I’m sure.  He thinks he’s old enough to go do all sorts of things on his own and to hang out with the big boys.  He’s a cowboy for sure and loves his wranglers, cowboy hat, gun, boots and cowboy shirts.  He loves to help me cook, especially breakfast. He can ride a bike all by himself!

He runs away to Addi’s house all the time.  If he doesn’t play with Addi at least several hours a day, it’s a bad day.  Addi is his best friend whether she likes it or not! lol.  He sneaks over there all the time, if I’ve told him no, if I tell him she’s not there, if he forgets to ask…you know when I find him missing I just text Megan and make sure he made it safe.  I’m sure they wish he’d quit invading them!  They run around both yards and houses and they get so dirty.  It’s pretty funny.  I’m glad they get along and entertain each other so well!

Tracen is a mischievous kid who likes to play jokes just like his daddy.  He’ll tease you, make fun of you, play jokes on you.  One day he asked if he could go scare Dan next door so I said sure….lol…he just forgot to ever come home.  I guess he snuck up behind him and roared as loud as he could.

Tracen is a sunbeam in church and will go to class willingly as long as his teacher is there.  When there’s a substitute he’s not as sure.  He sits in singing and sharing time straight faced and never says a word, but apparently as soon as he gets to class he talks away.

He just passed level one in swimming.  At first he would cry or ignore the instructor.  He’s really good at ignoring people.  She looked at me and asked if he was afraid of the water.  I just laughed and told her no, he’s just shy and ignoring you just pick him up and go.  I was afraid he wouldn’t warm up and ever move on past tadpoles, but dad must be a little more motivating because he quit crying the days that he went with him.

I’m amazed every day at the things he knows and does.  He’s a  super smart kid and really funny.  He likes to help me most of the time unless it involves cleaning up his toys.  He’s so much fun to have around and his smile always brings a smile to my face.  I’m so lucky to have him!  I especially love his hugs, kisses and snuggles.
